Jeff Broberg
Jeff Broberg of Elba Township, is a Licensed Professional Geologist and Vice President of McGhie & Betts Environmental Services, Inc., a Rochester-based environmental consulting firm. Jeff formerly practiced as a petroleum geologist in South Louisiana for 9 years before returning to Minnesota in 1986 to own a farm and breed and raise thoroughbred racehorses in the Whitewater Watershed. Joining McGhie & Betts in 1990, Jeff's professional consulting practice is focused on geological and environmental assessment, permitting and regulatory affairs including geologic hazards, wetlands, soil and groundwater contamination, asbestos and mold. He is the President of the Minnesota Trout Association, and has served on Whitewater Watershed Project citizen Advisory Committee, the DNR Budget Oversight and the Trout and Salmon Stamp Oversight Committees and is active in natural resource and conservation efforts in the bluff lands and ag-lands of SE Minnesota.
Larry Koshire
Larry Koshire is currently general manager of Rochester Public Utilities (RPU), a combined electric and water utility with revenues of $180 million. He has held various positions in the electric utility industry for private and public power utilities. Prior to coming to RPU, he served as General Manager of Muscatine Power and Water, Muscatine, Iowa. During his employment in the utility industry, Mr. Koshire has been active in state and national boards, committees and professional organizations including the Minnesota Consortium of Municipal Utilities (Bond Pool), the Southern Minnesota Municipal Power Agency and the Rochester Area Economic Development, Inc. (RAEDI).
Mr. Koshire is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Institute of Technology and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Minnesota and Iowa. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).
Jack Remick
Jack Remick is President of Cascade Meadow Wetlands & Environmental Science Center and Chief Financial Officer and one of the owners of the Rochester Athletic Club, which opened in 1993. He had a 25 year career at IBM in Rochester and was an original investor in the Fastenal Company. He is married to Mary Ann and they have five children and nine grandchildren.
Matt Remick
Matt Remick is the Secretary of Cascade Meadow Wetlands & Environmental Science Center. He is also the current President of the Rochester Athletic Club. The Rochester Athletic Club is a 250,000 square foot multi-purpose athletic club which has won several industry awards. Matt has served on other non-profit boards including: 2009-2010 United States Tennis Association (USTA) – Northern Section Membership Chair and Board Member, 2005-2008 National Independent Health Club Association (NIHCA) Board Member (2008 President).
Matt has a B.A. in Entrepreneurship from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN
Larry Tarnow
Larry Tarnow graduated from Purdue University and after 30 years with IBM he retired in 2000 as Director of Network Stations. After retirement Larry became interested in the environment and horticulture and received an Associate in Applied Science in Horticulture Technology as well as a University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener. He is married to Jan and they have two children and three grand kids.
